Adding insult to injury: German dairy giant Müller, of course, knows the truth, but tells you otherwise, of course.
Dairy cows live short painful lives (4-6 years instead of their natural life span of 20 - 50 years). They are artificially inseminated every year, they give birth only to have their calf taken away after a few days each time. They are milked while pregnant with the next calf, until after a few years they are "spent", and get killed. The calves are raised to be dairy cows, too (female), or killed (male). And all this for dairy products.

Nur nach der Schwangerschaft geben wir Säugetiere Milch.Die Kuh wird 7 von 9 Monaten Schwangerschaft gemolken. Die Kälber werden ihr jedes mal nach ein paar Tagen (oder einem Tag) weggenommen. Die männlichen geschlachtet, die weiblichen werden ebenfalls zu "Milchkühen". Nach ein paar Jahren sind die Kühe so ausgezehrt, dass sie sich nicht mehr "lohnen", und sie werden geschlachtet. Ihr natürliche Lebenserwartung beträgt 20 bis 50 (!) Jahre. Und alles das für Milchprodukte.
