There are quite a few vegetarian restaurants in Mendoza (population 112.000).
In Arrope they didn't know what vegan is and said they had nothing vegan apart from rice.
Es gibt einige vegetarische Restaurants in Mendoza (112,000 Einwohner).
In Arrope wussten sie nicht was vegan heisst und sagten sie hätten nichts veganes ausser Reis.
Hay un par de restaurantes vegetarianos en Mendoza. En Arrope no sabían lo que es vegano y dijeron que no tenían nada vegano excepto arroz.

In Veggetalia they have a buffet, they weren't quite sure what vegan is, but they seemed to have vegan options.
Im Veggetalia gibt es ein Büffet, sie wussten nicht genau, was "vegan" bedeutet, aber sie hatten vegane Optionen.

Probably the best place to go for vegans is The Green Apple. The owner knows what vegan is. All-you-can-eat buffet, many basic vegan options, although all the "real" things (like empanadas, quiche, desserts...) aren't vegan. Price: 24 Argentinian Pesos.
Wahrscheinlich die beste Option für Veganer_innen in Mendoza ist The Green Apple. Die Besitzerin weiss was vegan bedeutet. All-you-can-eat Büffet, viele einfache vegane Optionen. Die ganze "richtigen" Sachen (wie Empanadas, Quiche, Desserts...) sind allerdings nicht vegan.

Creo que el mejor lugar para veganos es The Green Apple. La dueña sabe lo que es vegano y hay un bufete de tenedor libre. Pero las cosas como empanadas, quiche, postres etc. son son veganos.

We were also looking for the Govinda restaurant but didn't find it. The address from Happcow didn't exist.
Wir haben suchten auch nach dem Restaurant Govinda, fanden es aber nicht. Die Adresse auf Happycow existiert nicht.

Naturata, buffet, didn't know what vegan is, said they had nothing vegan, but seemed to have some vegan things.

Retamo didn't look too great and we didn't ask.

CHILE: mushroom days

Ceviche is a traditional Chilean/Peruvian dish made from clams. This one was made with white mushrooms instead of clams.
Ceviche ist ein traditionelles chilenisches/peruanisches Gericht aus Muscheln. Für diese Ceviche wurden stattdessen Champignons verwendet.
El ceviche es un plato tipico chileno y peruano hecho de moluscos. Este esta hecho de champiñones en vez de moluscos.

On Sunday afternoons there usually is an illegal fleamarket in Parque Forestal. In these kind of places you can often buy vegan sandwiches or soya burgers.
Sonntag nachmittags ist im Parque Forestal normalerweise ein illegaler Flohmarkt. Bei solchen oder ähnlichen Anlässen werden oft vegane Sandwiches oder Sojaburger verkauft.
Los domingos en la tarde hay una feria de pulgas clandestina en el Parque Forestal. En este tipo de lugares se pueden encontrar sandwiches veganos o hamburguesas de soya.
